Dhaniya Govi

So, here goes a new recipe. Hoping that you guys like it... The name is given by me. Let me know if any other better name comes to you.  I thought that since govi or cauliflower is both mine and my hubbo's favourite vegetable, so, posting a govi recipe first might bring me luck ... :)

Ingredients:

2 cups cauliflower florets
2 potatoes
Handful of coriander leaves and a little more
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
2 chopped tomatoes
2-3 chopped green chillies
Mustard oil as required
Curry powder
Turmeric powder
Garam masala
Salt

Lighting the stove:

Wash cauliflower florets and boil them for 1-2 min in salted water.
Take them out when half cooked.

Fry them nicely with mustard oil till golden brown. Also fry thick slices of 2 potatoes till done.

Coarsely grind the coriander leaves and mix with ginger-garlic paste.

Heat mustard oil and add the paste and fry till raw smell goes.

Now, add 2 chopped tomatoes and cook till they are mushy.

Add chopped green chillies, govi and potatoes, mix well and then add curry powder, turmeric powder, little salt, garam masala powder.

Mix nicely.

Sprinkle handful of water and cover with lid and allow to cook for 2-3 minutes on low flame.

Tastes really awesome and different. Goes nice with almost anything. But it’s a dry curry and thus can be served with poori, paratha, roti and as a side dish with rice.
